If you’ve seen Rockaways Rewrite, you’ll know about Kris and his beard. What you don’t know is what took place after I took his portrait. The thing went viral. Ok not viral, but it was at least contagious.

We met a few weeks ago at the Rockaways when you had just stepped out of the water from the mornings surf. You were kind enough to let me take a few photos, and I wanted to return the favor and share the results with you. I think they all came out EPIC, some of my favorites from the day, and I hope that you enjoy them as much as I do.

The response to the images are really strong. I have a request from a friend who would like to repost them and give you an image credit. It’s for Zeus Beard Oil. They want to use them on their Instagram. I am one of their testers so I’ve been using their products and giving them feedback. They really like the photos! Let me know if you are cool with that and I’ll let them know. From there Kris put me in touch with Graham P Day, the surf entrepreneur responsible for the Zues brand.
