Now that Oliver is a part of the family, naturally he’s also part of the family trips. So for Fourth of July, we slapped on the service vest and hauled him along for a journey out west. Little did the the little guy know what type activities were in store, if he did he would have asked to come sooner
More Frenchie after the break…
First there was the pool, an entity that filled the pooch with simultaneous terror and excitement.
But in all honesty, it was never up to him to take the plunge. I mean, we shelled out $40 bucks for that nifty jacket, we had to make a return on our investment.
It became clear rather quickly that unlike the tub at home, this body of water took a bit more getting used to.
But then the toys came out, and determination overruled trepidation.

And as so often happens with Oliver, he became toy obsessed…
We tried to kick him out, but when the boy has his heart set on something…
So we decided to let him hang, as long as he promised to behave
But the pool wasn’t the only first experience for Oliver. Perhaps even more exciting for the dude (and certainly less wet) was Alta Laguna park, a wide open space free from the confines of puppy park gates.
A bit cautious with this newfound freedom, oh ya and that drone…
But then the toys came out again, and the little one was jumping for joy

Epic, truly epic! I smiled the entire time I read this. God, he is an amazing dog! The photos are fantastic. I have missed Frenchie Fridays!!!
He’s got Joie de Vivre!
This was seriously one of the most fun days I have ever had. I never knew shooting a dog in the face with water could be so entertaining. Granted we were a couple beers deep. Regardless, you got some great pictures! I think my favorite is the close up of Oli struggling to get the ping pong ball in the pool with Lauren in the background. There are so many goodies though!
Definitely one of the best frenchie fridays yet.
